Class 2 DSC is used for Income Tax Returns e-filing, MCA 21 & ROC, LLP, TDS Certificates, VAT Returns & PF Claims.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) under the MCA21 program, has made e-filing (online filing) with Digital Signature mandatory for companies. Class 2 Digital Signature is the minimum standard DSC required for e-filing on the MCA21 portal and for applying for DIN (Director Identification Number) for all company directors. All the authorized signatories of company under MCA21 require Class-2 Digital Signature Certificate.
Organization (Class -III)
This certificate will be issued to individuals as well as organizations. Any Company or Organization looking for any eTender needs to procure a Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate issued to an authorized person on behalf of Org or Company who is liable to submit online offers through e-Tendering portal.
Video Verification process:
All Class 3 applications required Video Verification. Once the application is approved by RA / RAA login, an email is sent to applicant (CC to RA/RAA) with a link to complete Video Recording. The applicant can click the link, record the video and submit to Certifying Authority. Once Video is Recorded, Certifying Authority will verify This Along with Physical Documents.

What are Certificate Types in Class 3 DSC ?
Class 3 Digital Signature basically divided according to requirement of various e-Governance platforms. Class 3 DSC comes in "Signing" and "Encryption" Certificates. User can choose Signing ONLY Certificate or Signing+ Encryption (Combo) Certificate based on their requirement.
Signing Certificates basically used to Map with Users Login, Signing of Documents on Different e-Tendering Platforms, whereas Encryption Certificate is mainly used to secure the confidential documents. A User can obtain both Certificates but cannot procure ONLY Encryption Certificate without Signing Certificate.
DGFT
Digital Signature Certificate for DGFT is a type of Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate, required to Importers- Exporters to communicate with DGFT Website for various purposes.
It is mainly used by the EXIM (Exporters & Importers) community registered with the DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) in India. Digital Certificates for the importer and exporter community can be used to securely log on to the DGFT Online License Filing Application and can be used to electronically sign the License Application Form, which is filled online.

General Information for Digital Signature Certificate
1. Video Verification Compulsory for Class-3 Digital Signature Certificate.
2. The supporting documents should be attested by either one of Gazetted Officer/Bank Manager/Post Master.
3. Attesting Officer should be quoting their office number, name, etc along with attestation.
4. Mobile Number of the applicant is mandatory in application form, and should be unique for each applicant.
5. The signature of the applicant, on the application form should be in blue ink only
6. Organizational applicants should submit all supporting documents as prescribed in new application form..
7. Foreign applicants document attestation should be either by their native country embassy, or apostilization/consularization made in their native country.
8. Aadhaar eKYC based application mechanism, to apply paperless for Individual DSCs.
